Rehabilitation Coaching

Full-time rehabilitation is hard work! For most people, it will be the hardest journey of their life. It also usually takes much longer than you would like or were expecting. You may have multiple therapists prescribing daily tasks, exercises, challenges, strategies etc. and they're all worthwhile and will all benefit you. But it is also overwhelming. A Be Transformed Rehabilitation Coach will walk you through the day to day of the rehabilitation process providing you with what ever support you need, when ever you need it. Encouragement, independence, a listening ear, support, individual expertise, resources...what ever it takes to enable you to...... Be Transformed!

Family Therapy (BIFI)

The successful rehabilitation of an individual with traumatic (brain) injury is directly related to the family’s ability to cope with all of the stressors that traumatic injury brings. Although survival and successful rehabilitation are now commonplace for individuals who have suffered traumatic injury, very little focus is placed on the emotional recovery and support of family members. Many family members feel underprepared and overwhelmed by the changing long term needs of survivors, and their needs are often unmet

In response to this, the Brain Injury Family Intervention, or BIFI, focuses on the emotional and cognitive needs of the whole family. This can include close friends and relatives; anyone who is intimately involved in the day to day life of the survivor.  Please see BIFI's dedicated page on this site.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Did you know that not all of your thoughts are true? I didn't say they're not all real, but they are certainly not all true! The same applies to the words we sometimes speak. "I'm never going to be able to do this!" "I can't do it!" "I'm unlovable!" "All my friends have left me." "Nobody likes me any more!" Our thoughts, words, behaviour and physical reactions are often a window to a much deeper part of ourselves where our core beliefts lay. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a path to a more balanced way of thinking about yourself, other people and the world we live in. Not all of your thoughts are true and some of them may be quite harmful.
